Guidance for investors looking to defer capital gains taxes and move into their next investment property.
A 1031 exchange allows an investor to sell one investment property and reinvest the proceeds into another qualifying property while deferring capital gains taxes. It can be a smart way to preserve equity, shift strategy, and continue building a real estate portfolio.
Grove Property Group works with investors through the exchange process, from identifying replacement opportunities to helping keep timelines on track. A successful 1031 exchange depends on key rules, including the 45-day identification window, the 180-day closing deadline, and the use of a qualified intermediary to handle proceeds from the sale.
If you’re evaluating an opportunity, preparing to sell, or looking for guidance in the Greater Boston market, we’re here to provide clear, informed direction. Connect with Grove Property Group to discuss next steps.
